About The Author

Sonya has enjoyed a successful corporate career as a human resource executive for the past twenty years. Several of her business related articles have been published in trade magazines, including hrmonthly. She is now actively transitioning to a full time writing career. Sonya’s mother suffered from severe mental illness her whole life. She also experienced continuous physical and emotional abuse. Despite these challenges, she is now a happy person. Her journey is the inspiration behind the book.
