About the Author

Maeve O'Meara, broadcaster, presenter, journalist and food lover, has spent most of her life seeking out great food, recipes and the clever people who make simple ingredients sing. Her camaraderie with everyone from three-hat chefs to passionate home-cooks results in a book that feeds any foodlover's desire for insider knowledge. Guy Grossi is an acclaimed chef, restaurateur and food personality who revels in his Italian heritage and its many glorious culinary delights. Owner and Chef of Grossi Florentino and Mirka at Tolarno Hotel in Melbourne, Guy has been working in the kitchen all his life, joining his father Pietro in the family restaurant. He is the author of two beautiful cookbooks - My Italian Heart and Grossi Florentino - Secrets & Recipes, which won the Australian Food Media Book of the Year Award in 2004. He appears regularly on television but is excited to finally have his own show.
