About the Author

Barbara Feldman Morse began her baking career in the 1980s with a first-place finish in the Ghiradelli Chocolate Company Great American Chocolate Cookie Contest for her San Francisco Fudge Foggies, and the Grand COCO Award for the Best Overall Recipe in Chocolatier mag's first Great Chocolate Challenge. Building on her success as a prize winner, she opened a baking business with many loyal followers and has since had recipes featured in publications like the Boston Globe, Oakland Tribune, Sacramento Bee, South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Bostonia Magazine, and Nob Hill Gazette.

Barbara has a strong local network of connections at news outlets and brick-and-mortar bookstores, bakeries, and specialty stores, and she's baked and developed recipes for treats sold at Starbucks and Trader Joe's. Assisting with writing and editing the text of Madeleines, as well as editing the recipes for consistency of style, is Meghan Rabbitt, formerly an editor at Parenting and Natural Health magazines. She has extensive recipe editing and food writing experience, including writing food features for Redbook, Fitness, Parents, Natural Health, and more. Meghan's award-winning articles have been published in Women's Health, Woman's Day, Yahoo!, and many more.
