Maths Quest for Queensland Book 2 Level 5/6 Teacher Support Book

<p>The <strong><em>Maths Quest for Queensland</em></strong> series has been developed in close consultation with Queensland mathematics teachers to ensure we deliver resources that work in the Queensland classroom for the new syllabus.</p> <p><strong><em>Maths Quest for Queensland Book&nbsp;2 Level 5/6 Teacher Support Book</em></strong> is the&nbsp;second in a series of fully photocopiable teacher support books designed to complement the Maths Quest for Queensland series. This book contains all the worksheets in the student <strong><em>Maths Quest for Queensland Book&nbsp;2 Level 5/6 Homework Book</em></strong> (2 homework sheets, 1 enrichment task and 2 code puzzles for each chapter of the student textbook) plus teacher support material that includes assessment sheets, a syllabus grid and six activities. All answers to the worksheets and additional assessment materials are also provided.</p> <p><strong>The homework sheets:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Begin with six skills practice questions that are based on learning outcomes up to level 4 </li> <li>Contain carefully graded skills and application questions that relate to specific content of the textbook chapter </li> <li>Include a writing mathematically section for students to explain mathematical concepts in their own words </li> <li>Finish with a Maths Quest challenge question to extend students' problem-solving skills. </li> </ul> <p><strong>The enrichment tasks:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Encourage students to work mathematically </li> <li>Provide a selection of problem-solving skills with links to real-life situations </li> <li>Promote different levels of thinking by employing many open-ended questions. </li> </ul> <p><strong>The code puzzles:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Present aspects of the chapter's content in a fun way </li> <li>Provide an alternative tool to reinforce skill development. </li> </ul> <p><strong>The additional materials include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Twelve assessment sheets, one for each chapter, that allow teachers to assess student achievement in the relevant core content linked to the level&nbsp;5 and&nbsp;6 core learning outcomes for the Queensland Mathematics syllabus. </li> <li>A syllabus grid to show the link between the assessment questions and the outcomes </li> <li>Six extra activities for students to further develop their skills in working mathematically </li> <li>Answers to all worksheets, assessment sheets and extra activities.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
