Another great story from Thomas and his friends. One of the classic shows where Salty features telling his stories all night and Cranky the Crane gets really cranky. Mostly adored by little boys aged 2 to 4 but still a favourite with some girls too. Packed with photos from the actual series and text that accompanies the photo mostly summarised from the narration and dialogue from the show.

Cranky is kept working through day and night. When he becomes frustrated with Salty's tales, he accidentally drops a load of pipes onto the rails, knocking over a shed and trapping Salty, Bill and Ben.

Salty passes the time by telling stories to the delighted twins, but poor Cranky is unable to get any rest even when not working.

When Harvey finally clears away the mess Cranky is so relieved he is polite for once - that is, until he accidentally drops some more pipes.
