Jacqueline Harvey’s bestselling Alice-Miranda series is set to be adapted for TV!
An 80 minute animated telemovie titled Alice-Miranda Shines Bright has been announced, to premiere locally on the Nine Network.
“I am thrilled to bring this perpetually positive and beloved young heroine Alice-Miranda to the screen,” says Executive Producer, Suzanne Ryan. “It’s an honour to work with Jacqueline Harvey the author of this incredible publishing property and to know that Alice-Miranda’s loyal and dedicated audiences will soon be sharing in her awesome adventures…”
The Alice-Miranda series pans 17 books series (and counting) and is hugely successful with sales exceeding 850,000 copies in Australia and 1 million including key international territories such as UK, North America, Germany, Brazil, Hungary, Turkey and Indonesia.
Alice-Miranda is an extraordinary young girl determined to never give up, even when she’s faced with difficult challenges and impossible odds to overcome. She is brave, kind and a positive role model for young girls – particularly between the ages of 6 and 9 years old.
“I am so thrilled that my girl is going to be on TV!” – Jacqueline Harvey
There is no firm date set for the premiere of the telemovie, but given how wildly popular the Alice Miranda series is – it’s bound to be a massive success.

Alice-Miranda At School
Alice-Miranda Series : Book 1
Can one tiny girl change a very big school?
Alice-Miranda Highton-Smith-Kennington-Jones is waving goodbye to her weeping parents and starting her first day at boarding school. But something is wrong at Winchesterfield-Downsfordvale Academy for Proper Young Ladies. The headmistress, Miss Grimm, hasn't been seen for ten years. The prize-winning flowers are gone. And a mysterious stranger is camping in the greenhouse.
Alice-Miranda must complete a series of impossible tests. Can she really beat the meanest, most spoilt girl at school in a solo sailing mission? Could she camp in the forest all on her own for five whole days and nights? Well, of course. This is Alice-Miranda, after all.
