Amy in Romancelandia

Hello everyone and welcome back to Romancelandia where there’s a dude for every girl (and guy) out there. Bad boys, boys-next-door and the boy-who-got-away. We have nerds and shifters. Pro-athletes and cowboys. Billionaire boys and those of the blue-collar variety. We have hot-docs and hot-cops and right in the back there we’ve even got your best friend’s brother! So come on in this September, the bush is blooming and the weather is getting warmer and I’m throwing open the windows down the rabbit hole. The Beatles are crooning ‘Here Comes The Sun’ and there are jugs of Aperol Spritz to get everyone in the mood!

And, of course, books!

I have books from down under authors and an overseas selection for your spring reading. As per usual, if you see anything you like, just click on the cover to check them out.

Can one man’s crowded, messy life fill another man’s empty heart?

Raising a family was always Adam Mills’ dream, although solo parenting and moving back to tiny Garnet Run certainly were not. After a messy breakup, Adam is doing his best to give his young daughter the life she deserves — including accepting help from their new, reclusive neighbour to fulfil her Christmas wish.

Though the little house may not have “the most lights ever,” the Mills home begins to brighten as handsome Wes Mobray spends more time there and slowly sheds his protective layers. But when the eye-catching house ends up in the news, Wes has to make a choice: hide from the darkness of his unusual past or embrace the light of a future — and a family — with Adam.

Amy’s Favourite of the Month!

As an extra treat each month, I usually recommend one of my fave reads/authors to you. This month I’m choosing NYT and USA Today bestselling author Erin Nicholas. I adore Erin’s voice, her hot blue-collar heroes and her sassy, take-no-prisoners heroines. She writes sexy and funny and has several amazing series you can dive straight into. A lot of her books are set in New Orleans and in the bayou and completely immerse you in the Louisiana culture, which includes plenty of southern steam — in more ways than one.

It’s hard to choose just one but definitely start at the beginning of one of her series and for now I’ll recommend you start with her Boys of the Big Easy series – Going Down Easy. And then just keep going!

As far as flings go, single dad Gabe Trahan is pretty sure that Addison Sloan is his best bet. Once a month, Addison comes to New Orleans and then … It. Is. On. Until Addison returns to New York, it’s just hot, happily-no-strings-attached sex. And beignets. And jazz. But lately for Gabe, it isn’t nearly enough.

Sure, maybe Addison’s gotten a bit hooked on Gabe. After all, who can resist a guy who’s so sexy, so charming, and so … available? But maybe he’s too available for her right now. Addison’s just moved to New Orleans, and relationships are definitely off the table. Besides, guys always bail when they learn her secret: she’s a single mom.

Only Gabe’s not running. Worse, he’s thrilled …

Sydney Smoke Rugby Series: Book 7

by Amy Andrews

Donovan Bane loves playing rugby for the Sydney Smoke. And if that means he has to keep his sexuality a secret, that's a sacrifice he's prepared to make. At least until after he retires, anyway. He doesn't want to be the first pro rugby player in Australia to officially come out while still playing. The team doesn't need the media shit storm and he'd rather be known for his footy skills. Which means no dating, no relationships, no sex. Nothing but playing ball.

Until one man suddenly changes everything...
