Welcome to back to Romancelandia lovelies, where it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Pretty much from October through to the end of January the romance market is awash with covers sporting snow, trimmed trees, frozen lakes, log cabins and twinkle-lights. Now, sure, most of us down under are usually heading for a beach but that doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate a white Christmas, right? After all, Romancelandia is the go to place for mistletoe, sexy elf outfits and shagpile rugs in front of crackling fires.
Not to mention naughty lists …
To spread some early Christmas cheer, I have books – November releases from both Australian and authors from over the seas. As per usual, if you see anything you like, just click on the cover to check them out.

Cupcake
by Cookie O’Gorman
I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking this will be just one more story of the ignored, “big-boned ” girl, who sheds her glasses and a few extra pounds and finally attracts the notice of the most popular guy in school. Except it isn’t. Because I’m not unpopular. Not all that ignored. And I love the way I look—just as I am. Then someone puts my name in for Homecoming Court. The bigger surprise? People actually vote for me! Now, I’m a “princess”—whether I like it or not—but the guy I’m paired with isn’t exactly Prince Charming.

Amy’s Favourite of the Month!
As an extra treat each month, I feature one of my fave reads/authors. For November I’m very excited to be introducing Naima Simone.
If you’re after perfectly crafted prose, fabulous dialogue, laughs and all the tingly feels from her trademark heat, then look no further! The tag line on Naima’s website reads ‘Where heart, humour and heat collide’ and it couldn’t be more perfect!
She writes across several different publishers and in many sub-genres of romance – sports, contemporary, small town, erotica, billionaire, rock star and more! And, if that wasn’t enough, she is, as we say here in Oz, a really top chick. A wicked laugh to match her wicked sense of humour, as well as a generous heart and a beautiful soul.
Naima has an amazing backlist (something for everyone!) and ordinarily I’d have trouble picking just one but, given this column has been pretty much all about Christmas, I have no issues recommending her latest book to you – Christmas in Rose Bend.
Grieving ER nurse Nessa Hunt is on a road trip with her sullen teen half sister, Ivy, and still reeling from her mother’s deathbed confession: Nessa’s dad wasn’t really her dad. Seeking answers, they arrive in Rose Bend to find a small town teeming with the kind of Christmas cheer Nessa usually avoids. But then she meets the innkeeper’s ruggedly sexy son, Wolfgang Dennison …

That’s it for me for this year. I am taking a short hiatus and will be back in February for Romancelandia’s most sacred of days – Valentine’s!! I hope, wherever you are and whatever you do over the holidays, that you stay safe and well and you get the chance to refill your wells with family and food and festivities as well as many fantastic romance reads. And fingers crossed 2022 will be everything we’re wanting it to be!
