Alan Geoffrey Yates was a literary phenomenon but you might know him better as Carter Brown, the international bestselling pulp fiction sensation.

An English-born Australian writer of detective fiction, Carter Brown was famous for writing the Al Wheeler series about a homicide investigator in fictional Pine County, Los Angeles.
