Today, Isabelle Cornish is on the blog to answer a few of our questions about her book. Read on!
Please tell us about your book, The Why!
IC: The Why is no BS health and wellness guide-book. A personal account of my life stories and experiences intertwined with wisdom and healthy habits to encourage the reader to create a holistic lifestyle that is individual and achievable. The Why is a rich text, full of mindset methods, tools and tricks to help the reader find strength, power and growth from the hard times. This book shows the way positivity, and a compassionate relationship with self can help the reader through all of life’s ups and downs.
Why was it important to you to write this book?
IC: The Why educates the reader on practices and ways of being that are essential for living a good life. This book is full of all the advice I needed in my life but couldn’t access, It’s why I had to create this text. This book is real, raw and attainable.
The Why is my mission to help inspire others to create the epic life they desire and deserve. It’s like a super-hero’s tool kit, full of healthy habits, mindset methods, tips and tricks to help the reader kick ass.
What does an epic and healthy life look like to you?
IC: An epic and healthy life is individual to each of us, to me it represents a connection to my heart, a commitment to live my best life, to highlight beauty and love through all of life’s twists and turns. While also supporting myself with healthy habits and believing in my power.
Who did you write this book for? Who do you wish would read it?
IC: I wrote this book for everyone that craves an epic life. The Why has the potential to impact all readers no matter where they are on their health journey. Everything starts with belief and if the reader doesn’t already have belief in themselves, The Why can support, inspire and help grow their strength.
Do you have a favourite tip from the book?
IC: Build a home within your heart.
This outtake from the book is my favourite. It can remind all of us to be kind to ourselves, and care for ourselves. The relationship we have with self should hold our uttermost importance. We need a solid gold connection with our heart to support ourselves in the journey of life.
Can you tell us a little bit about your own wellness journey?
IC: My wellness journey wasn’t linear. Life never is. I struggled with poor body image and an eating disorder; however all my low points offered me an opportunity to further learn, heal and grow. Over the long term I developed a holistic approach to health and wellness. This real way of living has transformed my life. Feeling healthy, having love for yourself and thinking clearly is electric and I want others to experience the magic of balanced health.
Is there anyone that really inspires you to live your best life?
IC: My mum is very inspiring; she has always had courage and love through any life adversity. She sits in the driver’s seat of her life and works hard for the things she loves. My mum is always having fun and continues to learn every day. She is in her 60’s and just started skateboarding, took home the world championship title for rowing and learns Spanish.
What is the last book you read and loved?
IC: I just re-read, Think and Grow Rich. I often re-read books multiple times. I recommend everyone to check out this book!
What do you hope readers will discover in The Why?
IC: I hope The Why will help the reader to highlight, grow or uncover more of the power they hold inside. I believe this book can help the reader to build a sustainable long-term approach to living well by implementing my simple habits and advice TODAY.
And finally, what’s up next for you?
IC: Learning, educating and adventuring. Alongside my acting career I’m planning to develop workshops and a healthy habits education program to tour to schools and communities in Australia. I’m very passionate about preventive education for eating disorders and mental health issues.
