“I am a sucker for fairytale retellings, so when I came across the Never King, which I discovered was a dark retelling of Peter Pan with spice?!?! I don’t think I’d ever picked up a book so quickly. And evidently, Nikki St. Crowe did not disappoint. Through seamlessly incorporating the traditional fairytale with her own darker features, she created a uniquely gripping retelling that I could not recommend enough!”

Savage Lands by Stacey Marie Brown

“I LOVE THIS SERIES. The best way that I can think of describing this masterpiece is as a dystopian fantasy, with copious amounts of action, wit, plot-twists & spice. It went above & beyond any expectations I could have conjured up, & it is most definitely one of the best reads I’ve had in both 2021 & 2022. I cannot recommend this enough.”

From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata

“An addicting slow-burn romance at its finest! I have never been a big fan of traditional romance books, however, Mariana may have finally changed that for me. The character development was exceptional, & the romance? chefs kiss (It’s an enemies to lovers, so I don’t know why I expected it any differently). This book is definitely a great introduction to the romance genre, & I can say with absolute confidence that I will be exploring the rest of Mariana’s works!”

I’m Anastasia, a first year university student studying a Bachelor of Arts in Ancient History & Archaeology, & Chinese! I can’t say what exactly it is that I want to achieve with this degree, but I am studying topics that interest me, & my main priority right now is to enjoy the classes I’m taking! I’ve been an avid reader from a young age – I remember devouring the Geronimo Stilton books in primary school, & the Skulduggery Pleasant series in middle school. I guess looking at that, it’s safe to say that I’ve always been a fantasy nut, & an addict to escapism! I dabbled in Bookstagram in my early high school years, & then eventually moved onto Booktok in mid-2021! The overwhelming amount of support I’ve garnered from dayone on Booktok still shocks me to this day, & I find myself falling more in love with the community with each day that passes. I’m both a reader & book collector, & I often collect special editions of the books that I find myself really loving! I currently have about 22.5k on Booktok, & love posting book recommendations, reading vlogs & book hauls!
