Spoilers And All – Lynette Noni on The Prison Healer Trilogy

Spoilers ahead for fans of Lynette Noni!

In celebration of ReadYA month, Sarah sits down with the one and only Lynette Noni to discuss her recently completed Prison Healer Trilogy. Spoilers ahead!

Lynette Noni is the author of the multiple fantasy series, including the Medoran Chronicles, Weapon and The Prison Healer series.

She has always been an avid reader and most of her childhood was spent lost in daydreams of far-off places and magical worlds.

She was devastated when her Hogwarts letter didn’t arrive, but she consoled herself by looking inside every wardrobe she could find, and she’s still determined to find her way to Narnia one day.

Small Screen Stories – Larry Emdur & Brendan Jones

Larry Emdur & Brendan Jones

Take a peek behind the curtain of television as Brendan Jones chats with Larry Emdur on TV experiences, Larry’s new memoir Happy As, and more!

WARNING: mild adult themes and coarse language

Larry Emdur is one of Australia’s most popular and enduring TV personalities. Happy As is a memoir of becoming Larry. Long before the game shows and morning TV, Larry Emdur was just Larry, a cheeky kid from Bondi who grew up paddling round the kiddies’ pool on a foam surfboard, and rocking a safari suit and bowl haircut. It was an idyllic childhood growing up in the 1970s and ’80s, dominated by endless summers, adventures with mates, sunburnt noses and board rashes, all underpinned by his dad’s simple rule: ‘Be nice to everyone.’

Brendan Jones went to a few schools, including a poncy boarding one, and after that there was art school for a couple of years. Art wasn’t to be, so a rich trail of jobs followed: sign-maker, outboard motor wrecker, truck driver, sewer worker, panel beater, kitchen hand and club DJ. In between jobs, community radio beckoned with 2BCR Bankstown for six months. His big radio break came in 1990 with a night job at 6KA Karratha, 2NM Muswellbrook, i98FM Wollongong, B105 Brisbane, 4MMM Brisbane and finally his dream job, 2MMM. Since 2005, he has co-hosted the top rating Jonesy & Amanda In the Morning on Sydney’s WSFM. His book, Fifty Shades of 50, was released in 2017.
