Heartstopper wormed its way into our souls and hasn’t left since it was published and then made into a glorious Netflix show.
The hit graphic novel series originally debuted as a web comic, and then was published in 2019. Its strong following led it to be picked up for a Netflix show, which exploded in popularity after its release in 2022.
When is Heartstopper Volume 5 coming out?
Fans have been wondering when the next instalment would be arriving, and now we finally have an answer!
Alice Oseman, the author of the series, took to Instagram to announce that not only is Heartstopper Volume 5 coming out on November 9 this year, but that there is another one on the way! Heartstopper Volume 6 will be the final novel in the series.
What is Heartstopper about?
Heartstopper follows teenager Charlie Spring (played by Joe Locke in the Netflix series) as he navigates high school and his emerging feelings for the popular rugby player Nick Nelson. The series is set at an all-boys grammar school and features other beloved characters such as Elle and Tao.
The graphic novels and Netflix adaptation received praise for their LGBTQ+ representation and the way they handled the adolescent experience.
Will there be a Heartstopper Volume 6?
Yes! While Oseman was originally going to end the series at Volume 5, she said that there was a bit more to tell. The final chapter in the Heartstopper series and Nick and Charlie’s romance will end in Volume 6 (release date TBC).
Pre-order Heartstopper Volume 5 (Hachette), released on November 9.
When is Heartstopper Season 2 coming out?
In May 2022, Netflix revealed that there would be a 2nd AND 3rd season of Heartstopper. Alice Oseman has announced that the second season will be out on August 3rd, 2023. As big fans, we can’t wait to see Charlie, Nick, Elle and Tao back on our screens!
