Why is everyone so excited about Alchemised by SenLinYu?
SenLinYu has just announced that a ‘reimagined’ version of her fanfiction Manacled will be traditionally published as Alchemised. This will be her debut novel, published by Penguin Random House in the US and Michael Joseph in the UK. At this time, we don’t know who her Australian publisher might be.
What is the plot of Alchemised?
According to Penguin Michael Joseph, as reported by The Bookseller, “Alchemised is a standalone dark fantasy with an enemies-to-lovers romance that is ‘by turns tender, toxic and all-consuming’”. In the Tumblr post announcement, SenLinYu wrote that Alchemised is “set in a war-torn world of necromancy and alchemy, in which a healer with amnesia is taken as a prisoner of war and must fight to protect her lost memories and the secrets hidden among them. It will grapple with themes of trauma and survival, legacy, and the way that love can drive one to extreme darkness”.
When is Alchemised being released?
According to the author, Alchemised will be released in Autumn 2025 (or Spring 2025 for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere).
Where can I pre-order or buy Alchemised by SenLinYu?
You’ll be able to pre-order or purchase Alchemised from Booktopia as soon as we receive the information from the publisher! Keep an eye out for it. We’ll update this post as soon as it becomes available for pre-order.
What should I read while waiting for Alchemised to be released?
Like you, we can’t wait for the release of Alchemised. Many fantastic published authors got their start in the world of fanfiction and can be a great place to start. Olivie Blake, Ali Hazelwood, Julie Soto, Thea Guanzon and Cassandra Clare are just a few!
