About the Author

Ben is a teacher of VCE Media and History and teaches both subjects at Balcombe Grammar School. He is the Leader of E-Learning and a passionate advocate for innovative learning and digital literacy. Outside of education, Ben has been widely published in design, pop culture and action sports media and is a skateboarder who is old enough to know better.

Lauren is an experienced teacher of both VCE Media and English at St Joseph’s College, Geelong. She has taught Media since 2005 and is a strong advocate for media education and literacy for all students. Lauren has been a VCAA assessor for both Media and English as well as serving on exam panels. Outside of teaching, Lauren is also a freelance writer, contributing to several websites and blogs.

Nick studied Cinematography in San Francisco and has been teaching VCE Media and English in Melbourne for the last 12 years. Having worked on a number of documentary and narrative films, Nick is an ardent educator of the video production process and of well-crafted visual composition. His favourite films include Goodfellas, The Godfather Part II and anything Tarantino.

David began teaching VCE Media at Taylors Lakes Secondary College in 1997, where he was also eLearning Leader for many years. He currently teaches VCE Studio Arts (Photography) and middle years Visual and Media Arts. David has a special interest in art theory and philosophy, and maintains his own studio practice in painting and photography.

Mark has been a Media teacher for the best part of a decade. Working with students to create engaging films, animations, zines and everything in-between is the thing that keeps him returning to the classroom each year. Throughout his career, Mark's love of cult cinema and panache for hyperbole has been tolerated by several students.The Interactive Textbook is available as a two-calendar-year subscription.
