This book describes Journey to Venice, the Greek Islands and Croatia

My daughter Carolyn and her children Faith and Renee wanted to visit Venice a city that we learned may be over flooded with water in the next few decades.

Venice is a city which was known to us from school literature in the Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice and geography as a city with canals and gondolas.

They were also interested in a cruise from Venice to Greece and Croatia countries that they heard about but never visited.

Greece brought memories from history about Greek mythology, Greek gods, Athens, Olympia and Alexander the Great.

My wife and I agreed to go with them because we had last visited Venice in our trip to Italy in 2005 almost 20 years ago.

We were happy to go a cruise to Greece and Croatia rather than flying by air because a cruise provided both accommodation and food.

We have good experiences while traveling on a cruise ship to Alaska and Scandinavian countries in 2018 and 2022.

Both my wife and I are older 76 years of age and prefer a more relaxed travel by ship than by air,

We decided to go with them in May 2024 when the weather will be fairly warm (not too hot or too cold).

One of the most intriguing and scenic places in the world is the Mediterranean Sea and the Greek Islands.

This is what we gathered from our trip to Venice, the Greek Islands and Croatia.
Venice is a fascinating place to visit even on our second visit.

The legend of St Mark and his burial in St Mark Basilica was fascinating to hear even after our second visit to Venice.

The canals and gondolas used to transport tourists were amazing.

Just as in many countries there were many who went out of their way to help us as tourists and provide assistance and proper direction.

There were some who were less helpful.

A cruise on a Royal Caribbean ship provides many avenues of entertainment and a good variety of food.

The staff on the cruise was friendly and courteous and generally helpful.

We have a wonderful time visiting Venice, the Greek Islands and Croatia but we are even happier to return to the comfort of our home in Singapore.
I hope that you will enjoy all the photos that were taken by us as a memorial trip to the wonderful land of Venice, the Greek Islands and Croatia.
