What is an eBook?
An eBook is an "electronic" book. You can read eBooks on your Booktopia App on your smartphone or tablet or on your Kobo eReader. Here are a few advantages of eBooks:
- You can access all of your books at once on the Booktopia App on your smartphone or tablet or on your Kobo eReader This can be useful when travelling, or if you simply want to have all your books with you all the time.
- eBooks make reading accessible and customisable. For example, you can adjust the text size, margins, and line spacing. There’s even a special font for readers with dyslexia.
- Your content purchases are saved securely with our partner Kobo. This means that even if you lose your eReader or delete your app, you’ll still have access to all your books.
- Buy and read content anytime, anywhere. You can buy and read eBooks from the Booktopia eBooks site on your smartphone, tablet, or Kobo eReader.
Where can I read my eBook?
Your eBook can be downloaded onto any of the following programs:
- Booktopia eReader App for smartphone/tablet
- Kobo Desktop app for your PC or Mac
You can download the app for iOS from the Apple App Store, or for Android from Google Play.
To read on your PC or Mac please install the Kobo Desktop App
Alternatively the book is also available on your Kobo eReader device when you sign in with your Booktopia account.
What is the Booktopia eBooks App? How do I get it?
The free Booktopia App lets you read eBooks and listen to audiobooks on your smartphone or tablet. To listen to audiobooks, you’ll need to use the Booktopia App on your smartphone or tablet.
For Android Smartphone/Tablet:
- Go to your Google Play-Store on the applications page
- Search 'Booktopia'
- Click install
Please note. If the word "Open" appears rather than "install" it means that you have already downloaded the app and will need to open it from your home screen.
For Apple Smartphone/iPad:
- Open your Apple App store on the home screen of your device.
- Search 'Booktopia'
- Once loaded select the "Get" option located next to the app icon and download the app.
