I worked in the voluntary sector for over 40 years, mostly at senior levels as CEO and during those 40 years I made many errors. The following stories cover a few of those, not all in the same organisation and I have changed names to protect the guilty.

I have used some poetic license with some of the stories, but most are very true, I will allow the reader to decide which is which.

There are some stories I have left out including, the two elderly trustees who nearly came to fisty cuffs over the location of a regional Christmas Party, the Luddite Chairman who refused to use email and insisted on only using the telephone & hand written letters, and the strange accusation that I was employing my illegitimate children in the organisation.

There are of course the stories I can never tell!
