Alexandre Samson

Alexandre Samson is a distinguished fashion historian, curator, and the head of the Haute Couture (from 1947) and Contemporary Design Departments at the Palais Galliera, Paris Fashion Museum. Having earned his degree in History of Fashion and Museum Studies from the École du Louvre, he has curated noteworthy exhibitions such as Margiela/Galliera 1989-2009 (2018). His first book, produced in collaboration with the designer, accompanied this exhibition. Subsequently, he orchestrated the traveling exhibition Back Side, Fashion from Behind, initially showcased in Brussels (2018) and then Paris (2019) at Musée Bourdelle.

Following these successes, Alexandre Samson curated the exhibition After the Love brings love, a tribute to Alber Elbaz in 2022. His most recent curation is the exhibition 1997, Fashion Big Bang (2023), marking another milestone in his illustrious career.
