Alice-Miranda Shows the Way

Alice-Miranda has a birthday to celebrate and a carnival to look forward to. For the first time, Miss Grimm is allowing the girls to attend the annual Winchesterfield village show and everyone is awhirl with activity. Sloane Sykes has re-enrolled and is trying to be on her best behaviour, Jacinta's mother has moved into the local village but doesn't seem to want to spend any more time with her daughter, and Millie is completely focused on getting herself and Chops ready for the dressage event at the show. One of the highlights of the show each year is the Queen's Cup horserace. But Aunty Gee's prize racehorse, Rockstar, is refusing to leave the stables. That is, until Alice-Miranda introduces him to her own naughty pony, Bonaparte. Preparations are coming along well until a series of thefts rock the community. Local busybody Myrtle Parker is quick to blame the carnival families who have arrived to set up for the show but Alice-Miranda is not so sure. Things quickly go from bad to worse when Alice-Miranda's beloved Bony is horse-napped. Can Alice-Miranda uncover the culprit and get her horse back in time for Rockstar to compete in the race? And what happens when you combine the town gossip, Ambrosia Headlington-Bear and the school's new stablehand? Alice-Miranda has some tall tales to unravel in her wonderful new adventure.
