Amber Creswell Bell

Amber Creswell Bell is a versatile professional with roles as an art curator, author, lifestyle writer, speaker, and dedicated creative enthusiast. Renowned for her fervor for art, Amber is acknowledged for her advocacy and educational efforts in supporting emerging and underrepresented artists. Currently serving as the Director of Emerging Art for Michael Reid galleries, she oversees the curation of both emerging art and ceramics programs. In 2021, Amber took the initiative to establish the National Emerging Art Prize (NEAP) in collaboration with Michael Reid.

With five published art books under Thames & Hudson, Amber has made a significant mark in the literary world. Her initial release, "Clay" in October 2016, highlights over 50 contemporary ceramic artisans from Australia and beyond. Following that, her second book, "A Painted Landscape," launched in October 2018, showcasing the diverse work of 50 Australian landscape painters. In 2021, Amber added to her collection with a monograph on artist Ken Done titled 'Art. Design. Life' and 'Still Life,' a compilation featuring Australian still life painters. Her most recent release, 'Australian Abstract,' came out in March 2023, with two more books currently in production.

Beyond her literary accomplishments, Amber holds the role of the 'resident art expert' for InsideOut magazine. Her editorial contributions have been featured in numerous leading titles across Australia.
