Ampossible is the go-to guide for every amputee from the first day after limb loss to the day they get their life back.
Thousands of amputations happen each day and millions happen every single year around the world. Yet, what an amputee actually experiences minutes after surgery, what's endured through the heart-wrenching recovery, to the time they get their life back, is rarely addressed in its complexity. Almost every amputee experiences an onslaught of emotions filled with confusion, grief, anxiety, depression, and immense physical pain. AMPOSSIBLE offers a glimpse into the realities of limb loss for those who experience it and answers the many questions amputees often have surrounding their very immediate medical needs as well as the long-term challenges, both physical and emotional, amputees must face. The book is a no-holds-barred real-world depiction of life as an amputee.
Jeffrey A. Mangus, a below the knee (BKA) amputee, delivers straightforward information for both the amputee and his or her family and support network. Covering the basics of wound care and rehabilitation, he also addresses the very real emotional needs of living a new reality without a part of the body intact. Offering hope and guidance, however, Mangus encourages readers to challenge themselves to overcome the downsides and live a full and engaged life.

Industry Reviews
AMPossible is a must-read guide full of important information, facts, and direction for those who have or are about to face the world as an amputee. This book is the answer to the unknowns; it echoes the resounding assurance you need to hear and understand that you are not alone, life as you know it will change forever but will go on and get better.--Carmine Denisco, CEO, Inventor's Launchpad, Tampa Florida Being a motivational speaker, I always surround myself with people who are overcomers, encouragers, and thrivers so that my batteries are continually recharged. The inspiration of such people is infectious, and Jeffrey Mangus is definitely someone who completely fits the bill. His latest book, AMPossible shows his attitude and personality throughout as he shares his deeply personal experience through challenges, but most importantly, how he more than overcame them. I always say that the best way to deal with the cards in life we are dealt is to act as if those are the cards we asked for. Jeff did (and continues to do) that, and his book captures that. If you are looking to be inspired, AMPossible will give you a positive kick in the butt that many of us need. Thank you, Jeff, for sharing your story with the world.--Todd Waite, 3x cancer survivor/amputee, motivational speaker, and CEO of True Rock Stars Don't Wait I enjoyed reading AMPossible. Being an amputee my entire life, I found it exceptionally interesting to hear about one other's journey of becoming and living with amputation. This book is an inspirational and informative real-life guide for new amputees or others who want to relate and understand how one may be feeling before and after living with Limb Difference.--Rebecca Legon, VIVA UK Lifestyle Magazine, brand ambassador, disability activist, and model/presenter Over the past several years, Jeff and I have become excellent friends. Without his thoughtful persistence and support, I would not have written my book Inventor Confidential. Jeff believed in me from the beginning, and I also believe in him. He is one of the most upbeat, gracious, and consistently supportive people I have ever met. The fact that he has faced head-on and overcome, every challenging obstacle life has thrown his way, is both inspiring and revealing of his true character. I hope that others reading his book will learn half as much from him as I have.--Warren Tuttle, president of United Inventors Association Over 2 million amputees in the USA currently live in a world the rest of us know little about. Over 100k people suffer an amputation from complications of diabetic foot ulcers alone in the USA every year. Amputees face unexpected, uncomfortable challenges across multiple facets of everyday life that can be shocking and disheartening. AMPossible is an excellent exposure to the details that only a person who has personally experienced an amputation can reveal. Jeffrey Mangus has in-depth described pre-and post-limb amputation conditions so anyone facing this life-changing event can have a heads up, plan and expect with confidence the amputation is survivable and how their life can remain full and active. This insightful book will educate and encourage a growing population of people, family, loved ones, and perhaps yourself to best recover from a limb loss.--Adrian Pelkus, president and CEO of A Squared Technologies, president of IWA, and president of South Carolina Inventor Forum This book is brutally honest and serves as a stark warning to all vascular patients who should sit up and listen. Mangus does not blame though, in fact he takes complete responsibility for his physical health and his resulting amputations. As a quadruple amputee myself, I recognize the physical and mental pain but although heart-breaking, I am always inspired by anyone who finds the inner strength and guts to get up and start again. Life is not over--a new one has begun. Mangus has accomplished that with AMPossible and more.--Cor Hutton, founder of Finding Your Feet Amputee Charity, quadruple amputee
