The Braithwaites are an ordinary suburban family. At least they were until Alison Braithwaite won 38 million pounds on the Euro lottery and decided to keep her change in fortune a secret from her nearest and dearest. Her husband David also had a secret he was having an affair with his secretary, Elaine. In the second series, the Braithwaites secrets are out. Alisons lottery win is out in the open, and David has dumped Elaine. Theyve moved with their three daughters to an enormous mansion, and seem to be getting on with living the lifestyle of millionaires However, its soon clear that theres trouble in paradise.
