This is a story of military service and courage. The author, Dr Greg Latemore is the Grand Nephew of Major Michael Shanahan DSO who rode a famous horse called 'Big Bill' in the First World War (1914-1918). They rescued four Tasmanian troopers at the Battle of Romani in 1916.
