A farcical catch-the-mouse caper from award-winning comic writer Russell Ayto.

Mr and Mrs Homeowner have a mouse in their house, and they want it gone. Mr Bosh –big chief mouse-catcher, and Mr Bumble – assistant mouse-catcher (wearing shoes that squeak like a mouse) arrive on the scene. They try all the old tricks: setting a trap, bringing in a (big!) cat, inviting an elephant round... but the mouse is always one step ahead.

About the Author

Russell Ayto was born in Chichester, Sussex and brought up in Oxfordshire. The thing he loves best is the chance to be creative and use his imagination to make characters come to life. He has illustrated many picture books and been shortlisted for the Nestle Award, the Mother Goose Award and the Blue Peter Book Awards, and won the 2008 inaugural Roald Dahl Funny Prize for The Witch's Children Go to School.
