Fergal Meets Fern

In his third story, Fergal's fiery temper meets his biggest challenge yet: a little sister.

When Fergal's mum and dad bring home an egg, his life will never be the same again. In the weeks after his sister Fern hatches, Fergal feels jealous, angry and worried. But believing those emotions are "bad" he hides them. Luckily Dad is around to help Fergal deal with his feelings by talking about them, and discover what a great big brother he can be.

About the Author

Rob Starling began doodling creatures and characters at school and hasn't stopped since. He lives and works in Norwich, and when he's not sketching up new characters or writing down stories he can be found sculpting, brewing coffee, adjusting his headphones or foraging in the kitchen for cake. Oh, and teaching kids. Fergal is Fuming, which was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Award, was his first book.
