The quiet suburb of Grandview has another name. The dogs know it as Dogland. Strongdog, Chainsaw, Stooge and Cakehole share a hidden life with hundreds of other canine warriors — a life their owners know nothing about. They secretly control the streets with their own set of rules.

Michael loves writing books that are amusing, exciting and accessible to everyone. Before becoming a full-time writer, Michael worked for ten years with ABC as a radio broadcaster. He lives in Melbourne with his wife Jane Godwin (also a children's author) and his two children, Will and Lizzie.
