Twin Brothers Tommy and Terry Krow are no strangers to crime. In fact, they stole the book on it...The crime rate in East Wood is higher than a stork's armpit. The Bird Police think that the infamous Krow twins are to blame. They've been on their trail for years. First, there was the Great Crane Robbery, then there was that nasty business with Mad Mike and the Magpie gang. Now the terrible two have got involved with master forger Leonardo da Finchi. Old Mother Krow thinks the painting that her boys gave her is lovely. Will the secret code hidden in the painting lead the twins into a trap? Rookie copper Florissa Starling is on the case. 'This has to be one of the most mad-cap books that's come through Lovereading in a long time! It will be loved by boys in particular and a great one for reluctant readers as well with its short chapters and plenty of eye-catching illustrations to break up the text.' Industry Reviews
J D Smith is a new author and this book is the first in the series about The Krow Twins. The title gives the reader a clue asa to the nature of the book! Lots of word play and plenty of chuckles in this entertaining story, just right for five year olds upwards. The Bird Police are after the Krow Twins, who they blame for most of the crime in high crime area East Wood. Is Mother Know's lovely painting genuine or is it a trap? Meet the bird characters and find out the geography of the area before you start reading - and let the fun begin! Can you solve the mystery? www.parentsintouch.co.uk This has to be one of the most mad-cap books that's come through Lovereading in a long time! It will be loved by boys in particular and a great one for reluctant readers as well with its short chapters and plenty of eye-catching illustrations to break up the text. If proof were needed we gave it to a 7 year old boy who is not a particularly keen reader - he loved the fact it was a quick read with plenty of laughs along the way and he enjoyed solving the puzzle in the storyline too - in fact he thought it was really great.
