Who knows you well? Your best friend? Your boyfriend or girlfriend? A stranger you meet on a crazy night? No one, really?
Who knows you well? Your best friend? Your boyfriend or girlfriend? A stranger you meet on a crazy night? No one, really?
Mark and Kate sit next to each other every day, but their paths outside of class never cross - until one night Kate spots Mark out in the city, miles away from home. Kate is lost, having just run away from a chance to meet the girl she has been in love with from afar. Mark is in love with his best friend, Ryan, who may or may not feel the same way.
Little do they know then how important they will become to each other - and how, in a very short time, they will know each other better than any of the people who are supposed to know them well.

'Levithan's self-conscious, analytical style marries perfectly with the plot. His musings on love, longing and human nature knit seamlessly with A's journey. Readers will devour his trademark poetic wordplay and cadences that feel as fresh as they were when he wrote Boy Meets Boy (2003). An awe-inspiring, thought-provoking reminder that love reaches beyond physical appearances or gender.' * Kirkus Reviews on Every Day *
`The authors, writing in alternating chapters, incisively explore the excitement and costs of change, and the importance of friends in figuring out what to keep and what to jettison.' * Publishers Weekly *

`So perfectly written by both authors!' * Dolly *
`The relationships are complex, messy and heartfelt and there is an overriding theme of self-acceptance right through the novel...It's the kind of novel young adults (and many older ones) need to read, to understand that love is love - no matter what.' * Magpies *
`This co-authored novel is a delightful heartfelt romp' * Readings *
