About the Author
Matthew Williamson was born and raised in Devonport, Auckland. He followed an early career path that involved surfing and laboring but moved on to become a graphic designer with medical publishing company ADIS Press. This led on to several roles as a magazine art director and graphic designer.
For the last twenty-two years, Matthew has worked with his brothers, Luke and Fraser, in the areas of design and publishing.
Matthew now lives just outside Warkworth, north of Auckland, with his wife Erena and their two children, Miles and Moana. He runs Halcyon Design with brother Luke and, when not at work or operating as a child taxi service, enjoys the aquatic and rural pleasures of the area.
Fraser Williamson was brought up on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand.
He studied Fine Arts at the Auckland University of Technology before beginning a career in illustration. His work has featured in magazines, books and ad campaigns, both nationally and internationally.
Fraser regularly exhibits his paintings at the Flagstaff Gallery in Devonport, many of which now adorn walls in Auckland, Melbourne, Finland, Malta and London.
He lives in Auckland with his wife Loisi and their son Antonio. They like to spend their time between Tonga, New Zealand and Spain.
Fraser also works with his brothers Matthew and Luke, who operate as Halcyon Design, and they combine their design and illustration talents on many projects.
