Curious McCarthy's Power of Observation

Curious McCarthy, named after the famous scientist Marie Curie, has decided to become a scientist herself. Her first hypothesis: That her mischievous younger brother will get noticed before her proper oldest sister, Charlotte.

About the Author

Tory Christie is a real scientist by day and secretly writes children's books at night. When it is light outside, she studies rocks and water. After dark, she writes silly science stories that kids and grownups can laugh about. Although she grew up in a large family, her family was nothing like the McCarthys-honestly. The McCarthys are completely fiction-really. Tory Christie lives in Fargo, North Dakota with her medium-sized family.

Mina Price is an American illustrator and designer. She has a particular affinity for book illustration and character design, or basically any project that allows her to draw interesting people in cool outfits. Mina graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Illustration. She enjoys finding ways to seamlessly marry traditional and digital art, going from scanner to Photoshop to printer to paint and back again. When she is not drawing, Mina can frequently be found baking things with lots of sugar or getting way too emotional over a good book.
