About the Author

Georgina Ferry is a science writer and broadcaster. She is the author of biographies and other books on the history of science and technology, as well as reviews and obituaries in the national press. She has been a staff editor on New Scientist magazine, and a presenter of programmes for BBC Radio 3 and 4. She lives in Oxford.
