Working in the highly competitive field of publishing at Empirical under the prickly Diana (Miriam Shor), Liza must navigate the new world she's built for herself all while maintaining her real life and its myriad relationships. Now that Josh (Nico Tortorella) knows the truth and her daughter is home from college, he and Liza must evaluate their relationship in a new light. Kelsey (Hilary Duff), still in the dark about Liza's secret, takes command at work.
