Fractions and Decimals : Years 3 - 4

The Back to Basics series provides children with the opportunity to practise and consolidate the skills needed to achieve ma stery of the key topics in the Australian Mathematics Curriculum.

The 20 units in this book contain activities de signed to review and practise the essential Year 3 and 4 skills for succ ess with Fractions and Decimals.

Each uni t features:

• a brief explanation of a fraction or decimal concept
• We Practi se ¶Ê- examples of the concept and how it is used
• You Practise ¶Ê- up to 10 questions to help your child to pra ctise and apply the concept
• BOB ¶Ê a re minder to check the answers at the back of the book

Parents and carers are encouraged to read and discuss the explanations and to do the 'We Practise' sections together with thei r child as well as playing the suggested games using the removable game cards. Review tests are provided at the end of the book to check that yo ur child has successfully mastered the skills taught in Units 1–¶ ¶¼20.
