This was a well paced story about first loves and the damage one can do with lies and deception. I look forward to reading more books in this series

Josie's life has never been an easy one. From her mother leaving when she was very young and her father being an alcoholic and abusive all she thought she wanted was to get away. To find a place where she could start her life outside of the pain inflicted on her by her family. That is, until she met Cole.

To Josie, Cole seems to have it all. Good looks, a talent for music, a nice house and parents who are still together. She had no idea he was interested in her, why would he be? Cole convinces Josie to have a pizza with her and that's it - they've fallen hard for each other and make plans to spend their future together...until something happens and Josie is forced to leave without telling Cole.

This is a wonderful story of first love and the damage that can be done when lies are told and secrets are kept. The plot was well paced and the character arcs are very well done. Josie's growth in particular is very well written and I found myself rooting for her in the end and feeling the proud of her for the lessons that she learns.

Josie was a captivating and a great read to keep your reading engagement active and sparked. Looking forward to other books in the series

Amazing book! Was on my toes and holding my breath for a few scenes lol. can't wait to read the next ones! Josie is such a strong character and to see what she had gone through was just amazing.
