BEN'S HARROWING ESCAPES

Entering Topaz for the first time, Ben chuckled and said, "Look mama, the sign says, 'Welcome to Topaz - Jewel of the Desert'!""Some jewel Ben. Have you ever seen dust this thick before?" his mama coughed as the dust swirled around her feet.From the first day they entered the camp, Ben soon learned he was under constant surveillance by the FBI. It was no secret that Agent Neff had it in for him. Not many days after arriving at Topaz there was an ominous knock on their door. A man with an unpleasant look on his face asked if he was Ben Okura. When he nodded in the affirmative, the man pushed a telegram into his hands and abruptly turned on his heel and left.Ben dreaded what it might contain but sat down on his bed and started reading. Soon it slipped from his hands onto the floor. Sweat beads on his forehead were joined by tears in his eyes as his throat tightened. At that moment he knew he had to attempt an escape from Topaz. Ben couldn't have imagined what a wild and dangerous adventure lay before him.

Is there really a road map for our lives or do we make it up as we go? Ben would soon come to realize that true faith does precede the miracle.
