Kanushin

Kanushin is a planet-hopping new adult space opera and sci-fi romance full of action, space magic, and a BIPOC cast geared towards the next generation of science fiction lovers.

Kanushin follows the story of Diah Nollak, a rebellious alien noble, as she is thrust into a planet-spanning journey to stop an enemy species from igniting a galactic war. While trying to leave her abusive and aristocratic mother, Diah is kidnapped by members of the Kunar Regime, a militaristic and hostile species bent on being the only power in the galaxy. After escaping their clutches and crash-landing on the metropolitan Tovarro Station, she meets Zaius, a human rogue with a heart of gold. 

Zaius, on the run from his own problems, agrees to help Diah return home and assembles a ragtag group to help them. Together, Diah and Zaius navigate the perils of Tovarro while on the run from enemy agents and a femme fatale bent on revenge. As their journey reaches new destinations, the reveal of a shocking secret threatens everything they know, including their budding relationship. Faced with a choice, Diah and Zaius must decide whether to stay together and face the Kunar head on, or separate to save their own species. 

Kanushin is a sci-fi story for those that don't often see themselves represented in the medium. It mixes anime-style action and adventure-driven romance with themes about self-identity, forging your own fate, and finding family through a lens that reflects the diverse universe we live in. It also serves as the first in the Collective Quartet and Starweaver's Tapestry series.
