Little Book of Diggers traces the history of diggers from their early days, when they were known as steam shovels, right through to the technologically advanced machines of today.

This colourful book takes a look at countless shapes and sizes, from micro diggers that will fit through a domestic doorway right up to the enormous draglines that work in mines worldwide.

Little Book of Diggers is also a celebration of some of the names that have become synonymous with digging equipment, including JCB, Caterpillar, Ruston Bucyrus, Komatsu and Liebherr, to name but a few.

Finally, there is a look at what the future holds for these machines - manufacturers face the challenging task of making them more comfortable for operators, more cost efficient and less polluting than ever before.
