McGraw Hill, an American publishing firm specializing in educational content, software, and services spanning from pre-K to postgraduate education, ranks among the prominent trio of educational publishers alongside Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Pearson Education. Additionally, the company produces reference and trade publications in fields such as medicine, business, and engineering. Initially a part of The McGraw Hill Companies (later rebranded as McGraw Hill Financial and now known as S&P Global), McGraw Hill Education underwent divestiture and was acquired by Apollo Global Management in March 2013 for $2.4 billion. Subsequently, in 2021, McGraw Hill was purchased by Platinum Equity for $4.5 billion.
