The book is a show-and-tell involving 6 stuffed animals called The Stitches. Each section focuses on one character and we are introduced to 3 things they have. The story is written in a very simple rhyme scheme that is fun to read and keeps the attention of the child. The main character on each page is illustrated in black and white with a subdued background of monochromatic shades that bring more detail to the story. As they grow they begin to see more than just the character and can see details they never noticed before.
