Molly Baz, an American cook, recipe developer, and food writer, formerly held the position of senior food editor at Bon Appétit magazine. She was a prominent presence in videos for the magazine's YouTube channel before her departure in 2020. Baz is also a successful author with two New York Times Best Sellers, namely "Cook This Book" (2021) and "More Is More" (2023).

Born in either 1987 or 1988, Molly Baz hails from Rhinebeck, New York. She completed her education at Poughkeepsie Day School in 2006 and pursued art history at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, graduating in 2010. It was during her time studying abroad in Florence, Italy, that she discovered her passion for cooking.

During her senior year at Skidmore, Baz, along with a classmate, organized biweekly dinners showcasing dishes prepared with local ingredients. These events were open to the Saratoga Springs community, marking an early manifestation of her culinary enthusiasm.
