About the Author

Thalia Verkade (1979) lives in Rotterdam. She has been a staff writer and foreign correspondent for the Dutch national newspapers NRC Handelsblad and nrc.next. For the ad-free slow journalism platform De Correspondent, she has written extensively about the topics she loves most- language, mobile technology, and technocracy.
