About the Author

Krista Towns is the culinary editor of Fungi magazine, the highest circulation mushroom publication in North America, and is the culinary advisor and recipe developer for Circular Farm-a premier mushroom farm located in Jackson, SC. She holds a Mushroom Foraging Certification for food service in 18 states and is an active member of the North American Mycological Association and the South Carolina Upstate Mycological Society.

Krista has achieved award-winning success in cooking competitions and has won or placed in exclusive chef’s recipe competitions and her recipes are included in “Yucatán Cuisine” and in an upcoming cookbook published by the National Kidney Foundation.

She provides all photography for Mushroom Gastronomy and is a recipient of multiple national and international awards for her artwork and photography, including from Communications Arts, the New York Society of Illustrators and the American Society of Magazine Editors.
