Read as a book or laid out on the floor, this sweeping illustrated history of North America offers unending hours of fascination for families and classrooms alike.

Here, for the first time ever, is an opportunity for children and their grown-ups to experience the history of all of North America – from the Atlantic to the Pacific, the Arctic Circle to the Caribbean Sea, 5,000 years ago to the present day. Witness the events, meet the people, encounter the animals, and enjoy the landscapes that have shaped this extraordinary continent.

About the Author

Sarah Albee is the New York Times bestselling author of many non-fiction history and science books for kids. She loves to travel, and has visited many places throughout North America. She lives in Connecticut with her husband, their three kids, and their dog, Rosie. Although she has written over 100 books for kids, this one is the longest book she’s ever written. Literally.

About the Illustrator

William Exley divides his time between writing and illustrating graphic novels – including Golemchik (Nobrow Press) – and illustrating children’s non-fiction.
Industry Reviews

"North America as a fold-out graphic history presents a mind-boggling amount of information in a creative, imaginative way that often challenges our perceptions."
