These themes are used to introduce speech acts that provide students with meaningful language. Vocabulary is introduced and recycled via these speech acts. Each lesson is essentially discrete. A feature of the text will be the capacity for the student to personalize the lesson to include information they are interested in. The opportunity for student self-reflection (metacognition techniques) is also included. For example, "My favourite part of the lesson today was ...."
