Strange things are happening in the tiny village of Gates up on Gates Ridge in rural West Virginia. Pinnacle Flats was still an ordinary boarding house from the outside, but it had recently become far from ordinary on the inside. The land under the boarding house was quiet and seemingly normal until the current boarders unwittingly generated a crazy mix of energy that jolted the land and the house above into a frenzy of psychic activity. Each of the six current boarders had some mental or physical condition which simultaneously weakened his or her body while strengthening each individual's psychic abilities. The confluence of their enhanced psychic activity served to open a window through which pixilated spirits could pass easily to and from the beyond. Now, these mischievous pixies were leaving a trail of clues, leading the boarders to believe that the spirits had once been coalminers in their earthly life. But, this reading of the clues brought about its own puzzle . . . there has never been a coalmine in the town of Gates. Follow the six boarders as they work to uncover the identity of the pixie spirits. In the process they discover the fascinating secrets of a village they have all learned to call home and learn a powerful truth about themselves. Find out why a "bump" has cursed the land beneath Pinnacle Flats for the last 80 years. Join them in their journey as A Bump at Pinnacle Flats opens their minds and hearts to new perspectives on the afterlife.
