Amy Hackney Blackwell graduated from Duke University with degrees in History and Medieval and Renaissance Studies, with a concentration in the history and literature of the British Isles. She received an M.A. in Early Modern European History from Vanderbilt, again focusing on the history of the British Isles and Ireland, particularly the flourishing of British humanism in the 16th century. Garland Kimmer received his Ph.D. in Irish Studies from Chapel Hill. He lives in Massachusetts.
