About the Author

Kitty Black is an emerging children's author from Perth, with a background in psychology and research. Her first picture book, Who's Afraid of the Quite Nice Wolf?, was published in 2019, followed by A Crocodile in the Family and Mr Bat Wants a Hat. In addition to writing picture books, Kitty has published numerous articles and blog posts about parenting for the likes of Mother.ly, Kidspot, Scary Mommy, Her View From Home, Parent.Co, The Mother Magazine and Mamapedia.

About the Illustrator

Cate James is an illustrator, artist and author based in the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. She moved here from Edinburgh, Scotland in 2015 and loves the sunshine. She has been working as a full-time freelance illustrator since 2010 and has a background in printmaking. Cate works mostly in children's publishing on picture books and illustrated texts. In 2015 she had her first book published as author/illustrator.
