Radiant, Vol. 12

The world is overrun with monsters called Nemeses—and a young boy infected by one will stop at nothing to defeat them all!

Evil creatures called Nemeses fall from the skies and the only ones who can fight them are Wizards—infected ones who survived a Nemesis's corruption. Seth, one of these survivors, vows not only to fight the Nemeses, but to find their mythical nest, Radiant, and destroy it!

Heading to Bôme in order to retrieve the Nemeses their occasional ally Grimm stole from the Artemis Institute, Seth and his friends are separated while trying to ward off different groups of enemies, including members of a mysterious organization calling themselves the Mesnie. Their one chance of getting out of this mess rests with Doc, their most cowardly and inept companion. (And not at all ashamed of it!) Considering this, do Seth and company have a hope of reaching their destination safely...or at all?

About the Author

Tony Valente got his start in comics with Delcourt, illustrating the four-part series Les 4 princes de Ganahan, alongside scriptwriter Rapheël Drommelschlager. Once the series was completed, Valente began work on his own project, Hana Attori (Soleil Productions), a result of his manga and anime influences. He next illustrated SPEED Angels (Soleil) together with writer Didier Tarquin, before turning once more to a personal project. The first volume of the French manga series Radiant was published by Ankama Editions in 2013 and was an immediate success, amassing legions of fans in France and around the world. Radiant has even become an animated series, broadcast in Japan, and the reach of the books has continued to grow since its publication in English in 2018 (Viz Media/Europe Comics).
