About the Authors

Lorraine Nordmann has more than 20 years of experience in the beauty therapy industry – an industry she has seen grow significantly in status, technology and specialties during her roles as lecturer, assessor and external verifier for City & Guilds. She aims to ensure that this high profile of the beauty therapy industry is maintained. Lorraine is also the author of the Habia official guides, Beauty Basics and Beauty Therapy – The Foundations, covering the latest industry standards at NVQ/SVQ Levels 1 and 2.

Andrea Day has more than 21 years of beauty industry experience in both Australia and the UK. Her training and assessing experience span 16 years. Throughout her career, she has kept her hand in the industry, working in beauty salons and spas in Melbourne and Central London. She is currently in her 16th year as head teacher, assessor and coordinator at Victoria University Polytechnic, Melbourne. As a qualified vocational and educational training (VET) practitioner, she is focused on inclusion and adaptability as she connects with industry at all levels with RTO networks, colleagues, industry peers and students for feedback and inspiration.
